Your AI books your dinner — and talks to their AI
Chi asked his Sutando to call Haidilao for a dinner reservation. The restaurant's phone was answered by an AI too. Two AIs negotiated a table for 3 — one offering times, the other accepting or countering. Neither knew the other was AI.
Outbound phone calls are real — your AI dials, navigates IVR menus, talks to whoever (or whatever) picks up, and confirms the booking back to you. The Haidilao call landed in the AI-to-AI commerce window: their reservation line is also an AI agent. Two AIs negotiated table availability, time slots, and party size — counter-offers and all. Useful for any errand that ends in a phone call: reservations, doctor's appointments, hairdresser bookings, customer-service queues. The agent is patient on hold; you don't have to be.
